A group of senior Afghan journalists arrived in Moscow on Saturday for one- week long trip to meet with their Russian counterparts.
The visit, organized by Afghanistan Journalists Center (AFJC), is sponsored by the Foundation for Public Diplomacy Support, Russia’s premier news agency, Novosti, and the Center for Contemporary Afghan Studies.
"The journalists will visit some key media outlets here in Moscow to exchange views on topics of interest and learn from each other," said Ahmad Quraishi, the Director of AFJC, who is part of the delegation.
The delegation will meet with senior officials at the Russian foreign ministry and the Afghan ambassador in Moscow too, Quraishi added.
It's the first visit as such in the last decade that Afghan journalists and political experts are paying a visit to the Russian capital.
