Center for International Media Ethics (CIME) has appointed Ahmad Quraishi, Director of Afghanistan Journalists Center as its ambassador for Afghanistan.
Quraishi has become CIME ambassador for his outstanding professional experience and strong commitment to free media ethics, CIME statement said.
“I congratulate to Mr. Quraishi on this exciting accomplishment. We greatly look forward to collaborating and supporting his efforts towards furthering ethical media practices in Afghanistan.” CIME Ambassador Coordinator CsillaSzabó said.
Ahmad Quraishi is a dedicated professional journalist who brings an eight-year long media experience. He currently leads Afghanistan Journalists Center (AFJC), an association working to support Afghan journalists. Quraishi also works for Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN), the first and largest independent news agency of Afghanistan.
CIME brings together a network of journalists throughout the world to provide training, discussion and expertise in the ethics of their profession. It believes that journalists together have the power to formulate and enforce a tacit code of ethics as a status quo of their profession.
