Reactivation of Zanbil-e Gham monthly

Zanbil-e Gham satire and cartoon monthly publication has once again joined the country’s press media after four years of break off.

The monthly publication, based in Kabul, focusing on various social, political and economical topics and publishing them in the form of satire and cartoon has twice been suspended since its establishment in 1997.

Reactivation of Zanbil-e Gham monthly was officially announced in Kabul on Monday, 26 December, in presence of numerous satires, writers and reporters.

Mohammad Akram Osman, the editor in chief of monthly publication said that his monthly publication has been suspended in 2007 due to security and economical reasons. But he added that he had since been continuously trying to reactivate Zanbil-e Gham monthly.

He said that the Afghanistan Open Society has helped the publication to resume its activities.

A total of 3 thousand copies of the new issue of Zanbil-e Gham monthly have been published in Dari and Pashto.
