Journalists Ataullah Omar from Tolonews TV, as well as freelance reporters Wahidurahman Afghanmal and Shamsullah Omari, were apprehended by GDI in Kandahar. The local Taliban authorities in the province have chosen not to comment on the journalists’ detentions, and the specific reasons for their arrest remain undisclosed at present.
