The questioning revolved around their tough inquiries directed at a Taliban official regarding governance and the ban on girls' education. They received a warning, urging them to refrain from producing similar content in the future.

The meeting, initially scheduled for 9:00 am, started at 12:30 pm and was attended by 18 directors or representatives. During the meeting, the journalists' mobile phones were confiscated and they were forced to share their passcodes. After approximately two hours, the meeting ended, but the journalists were told they couldn't retrieve their phones immediately. They were instructed to go home and would be notified of the appropriate time to collect their phones, which was around 6:00 pm.
