Khalil was arrested by members of GDI, along with Nasrat Mahdi, a freelance cameraman in Kabul. The arrest was made in connection with their affiliation to Amu TV. The Taliban has accused several foreign-based media organizations, including Amu, of spreading propaganda against them.
