Sirat, who was injured in the explosion during the press event in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province, recently shared on his Facebook account that he was denied medical treatment at the provincial hospital due to orders from the local Taliban. According to him, a member of the Taliban exclaimed, "I wish all them [ journalists] were dead!" As a result of the blast, three individuals, including a journalist, lost their lives, while 19 other journalists sustained injuries.
